He PROPOSED!!!!!

Michael proposed last night! I am oh SO excited!

Mike took the day off work yesterday to prepare a little bit (mentally) and also to decorate my car. He had talked to my brother Jeff about making sure I had work to do while he decorated, and Jeff recruited everyone else to help make sure I stayed occupied and away from windows so I wouldn't look out in the parking lot and see them decorating. When I walked out to my car, I could tell something was in it, and on the driver's seat. When I got to my door I saw all the flowers (pink Gerber daisies, my favorite) placed all over the two front seats. All 2 dozen of them had a reason he loved me, an inside joke or lyrics from songs that we both like a lot, although one of them said 'Happy 3 month anniversary (9 days early)', which threw me off (I thought it was just a very sweet and early 3 month present). There was also a single rose weaved through my steering wheel that just had a plain white ribbon tied around it.

I had decided to try out for Iota Idol, which fell on the same night Mike had planned to propose, so he had to rearrange his plans a little bit. Luckily, there was a question & answer round, so after I got through the first round (John and Blurrr were in on the plan, so they knew I had to at least get through that, and therefore the elimination was after the first 2 rounds), we moved on to the Q&A. The girls were going in the order that we signed up in, and since I was number 2, I walked up to the front and was told that the order was being rearranged a little bit, so I walked back to my seat and sat down. Nate then called me up after everyone else had been asked their questions and out of the corner of my eye, I see John walking in from one side with three roses, all with a white ribbon tied around each one, and Blurrr walking in from the other, again with 3 roses. Nate then announced to everyone that someone else was going to be asking my question, and Michael walked up from the back of the gym, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!! I smothered him in kisses, and somewhere in the process, I said yes and he found my finger and put the ring on. Everyone was happy and excited (and yes, there were a lot of screams from the girls) and also wanted to see my ring.

We stayed for about 5 more minutes to finish talking to people, then I told John I was withdrawing (for obvious reasons), and we went to my house to talk to Mom and Dad and let them, and Brad and Heather (who are staying at my house while Brad does a rotation at the U hospital) know what happened. Everyone already knew, but waited for me to announce it. Mike had also brought some Sparkling Apple Cider, so we opened that and drank it in celebration. He had also talked to Becca (Jeff's wife, who does flowers), and she brought over a bouquet of roses that were placed on my bed in my room, which I didn't find until after he had proposed.

I had no clue that he was going to propose last night, and was totally unprepared for it. Michael is such a sweet, caring, WONDERFUL fiance, and I can't wait until we're married so that I get to spend all the time I want with him (for eternity)!!!
