We have a house!

It's Official! We have a house! We closed last Tuesday and have been slowly moving wedding gifts up since we got word that it was officially ours. We have almost all the wedding gifts moved (there's just a few left that will be moved today or tomorrow), and we will be moving all the big stuff (beds, dressers, etc) this weekend and we'll start staying there beginning the 4th of July (or maybe the 3rd if Mom and Dad kick us out) ;) We are SO excited and are grateful for the generosity of everyone (for letting us invade the house for 2 months, for being so willing to help us move, for supporting us with this whole process, and everything!) Thank you!

And for those of you wondering, there will be a 'housewarming' party of sorts sometime. We don't know when yet. :)

Crazy life

Apparently I'm really busy and don't update the blog regularly. Michael has already updated his blog twice since we've been married, and the last post on this one is from way back in February. There are a couple posts pending at the moment, but we need to get the pictures to attach to them. Oh well. Keep checking back here. We'll eventually have something new posted. In the meantime, you're welcome to check out his blog and the new things he's posted.

Bridals--Pictures

My bridals were taken on the grounds of the Garden Park ward. We had BEAUTIFUL weather that day and were able to get quite a few pictures that I really really like (too many to post here, but you can see all of them here) I'll try to limit what I post, but it's going to be hard because I like so many of them!

I have to be tricky and not let Michael see these, so the pictures will actually be posted while we are on our honeymoon (I hope the delay posting will work, but maybe not). Just letting you know that I had my Bridals taken a couple weeks ago and had a very fun time with the photographer and everyone that was there (Thanks for your help. You know who you are!) and we had gorgeous weather! Stay tuned for the pictures. They will be coming soon!

Short Picture Update:

We met with our Photographer on the 5th of February and set a time for pictures.  We've decided to do engagements on the 13th of March which means we should have them and they should be available here and on facebook the week of the 29th of March.

Niki has scheduled the Bridal session for the 10th of April, in the event that she decides to make those available on the web (no promises I won't look! hahaha) they would be available the week of the 26th of April (just the week before we're married).

Things are moving!

Wedding plans are moving along pretty well. We have the temple reserved, a venue for the reception, I have my dress, we have someone for flowers, cake and photography (we still need to actually meet with all of them though), and I'm meeting with someone tonight to discuss invitations (what we like/want/expect and such). We still need to figure out who we're going to have cater the reception, but there's a long list to choose from (and we've already cut that in half just because of the type of food we will want). I also still need to get my dress altered, but I can't do that until I get all the accessories (petticoat and such). Michael is in the process of looking for a house that we both like and can afford. So things are moving along pretty smoothly and we haven't had too many problems. The house thing is a lengthy process that is just getting started, but we're hoping to have something that we can move into right when we get married (Which is in just 92 days! Yikes!)

You deserve an explanation...

Ok, so I'm a total slacker and haven't uploaded the pictures from my rose passing yet, but I looked though and saw that there aren't very many good ones. Just a couple of us talking (and therefore having weird looks on our faces) and then a couple of us kissing after getting the "kiss" chant from the girls. (and yes, there are a couple because there were at least 3 cameras being used that night. We didn't kiss over and over in front of everyone) But after we get our engagements done, I promise I won't be a slacker and I will post some of those ones. Until then, enjoy our pictureless blog. :)

Wedding Plans

To keep you posted on wedding plans: I went dress shopping a few days ago, and I know I shouldn't be set on a wedding dress after only trying 2 on, but it was just me. I put it on, went out and looked in the mirror, and just fell in love with it. I haven't bought it yet because i'm going to go give some other dresses a chance, but i'll keep you posted on which dress I end up getting. (and maybe I'll even post a picture. I just have to figure out how to keep Mike from seeing it...)
